Bitter Sweet

Yesterday I took Lil Momma to the airport so we could meet her Abi there ,alhumdulilah he flew from New York  to Des Moines to pick her up and then they flew back a few hours later. Masha Allah my daughter has a great Abi alhumdulilah he’s a real hands on type of dad masha Allah good dad I wish I had a dad like him when I was Safaa’s age he is a very good dad masha Allah  and has a great relationship with his  daughter alhumdulilah. May Allah bless him with a good wife Ameen, It was bitter sweet for me because you all know how selfish I can get or be when it comes to my children subhanAllah, It was really hard for me to let her go but alhumdulilah I stayed strong and kept my word alhumdulilah she will stay with her Abi until August. When I finally saw him coming I said to lil momma there’s your Abi y’all should have seen her running to him and screaming Abiiiiiiiii masha Allah my daughters dads face lit up masha Allah he was sooooooo happy to see his butter cookie (he’s called her that since she was a baby).  You know how  in the movies when someone hasn’t seen a long lost friend in so long and they’ll do the slow motion run and the music is playing that’s how it was. I was crying, crying like a baby for two reasons one because I felt  bad moving out here  and Safaa isn’t able to see her Abi as much as we would like and it’s expensive for her dad to come here and see her, and two because it’s emotionally hard on me when my children aren’t near me.  Insha Allah I will see if I can show some pics so stay tuned for that .

Ice Cream

 My name is Danetta and I am an emotional eater.  I eat when I’m happy,sad, nervous and all the other emotions that come with being a woman I eat.  So the free ice cream at wal mart was a much needed fix for my emotions(sad I know).  After dropping Lil mommah off at the airport my son and I went to walmart and got our free Ice cream heyyyyyy now. Thanks Wal-mart.

 

Ouch That Hurts

Friday I went to the dentist and got not one but two teeth pulled my goodness. However that didn’t stop me from getting my free  Ice cream told y’all  I am an emotional eater  and I miss  my daughter ……. Alhumdulilah before she left we did do a mother and daughter pamper day on Thursday she comb my hair and we played in my make up and  we roasted some halal marshmallow’s and made s’mores with my neighbore  I love burnt marshmallows … ok  y’all it’s Sunday and I will be cleaning my house to day.

The Rights the Spouses have over Each Other

 Allah said:
[وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِى عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ]
(And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable,)
This Ayah indicates that the wife has certain rights on her husband, just as he has certain rights on her, and each is obliged to give the other spouse his due rights. Muslim reported that Jabir said that Allah’s Messenger said:
«فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ فِي النِّسَاءِ، فَإِنَّكُمْ أَخَذْتُمُوهُنَّ بِأَمَانَةِ اللهِ، وَاسْتَحْلَلْتُمْ فُرُوجَهُنَّ بِكَلِمَةِ اللهِ، وَلَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَنْ لَا يُوطِئْنَ فُرُشَكُمْ أَحَدًا تَكْرَهُونَهُ، فَإِنْ فَعَلْنَ ذَلِكَ فَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ ضَرْبًا غَيْرَ مُبَرِّحٍ، وَلَهُنَّ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوف»
a(Fear Allah regarding your women, for you have taken them by Allah’s covenant and were allowed to enjoy with them sexually by Allah’s Words. You have the right on them that they do not allow anyone you dislike to sit on your mat. If they do that, then discipline them leniently. They have the right to be spent on and to be bought clothes in what is reasonable.)
Bahz bin Hakim said that Mu`awiyah bin Haydah Al-Qushayri related that his grandfather said, “O Messenger of Allah! What is the right the wife of one of us has” The Prophet said:
«أَنْ تُطْعِمَهَا إِذَا طَعِمْتَ، وتَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اكْتَسَيْتَ، وَلَا تَضْرِبِ الْوَجْهَ، وَلَا تُقَبِّحْ، وَلَا تَهْجُرْ إِلَّا فِي الْبَيْت»
(To feed her when you eat, buy her clothes when you buy for yourself and to refrain from striking her on the face, cursing her or staying away from her except in the house.)
Waki` related that Ibn `Abbas said, “I like to take care of my appearance for my wife just as I like for her to take care of her appearance for me. This is because Allah says:
[وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِى عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ]
(And they (women) have rights similar (to those of their husbands) over them to what is reasonable.)” This statement is reported by Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abu Hatim.
